Mixed Emotions is a fragrance designed to reflect the multifaceted and vivid nature of the times we live in. It captures the highs and lows, the ever-shifting reality, and a life in constant motion. Exploring the duality and contradictions of our world, Mixed Emotions blends the familiar with the unexpected, forming a scent that finds wholeness in contrast. In line with Byredo’s philosophy of translating memories or creative abstractions into scent, Mixed Emotions is an aromatic sketch of today’s shared feelings and emotional states. Relaxing notes of maté and the sweet tang of blackcurrant are framed by woody accords. The calming essence of black Ceylon tea is given a striking edge by violet leaf. It is a refreshing reminder that every human emotion is valid — and even anxious experiences can mark a new beginning, a point of growth, from which a new and positive reality can emerge. Top notes: maté, blackcurrant Heart notes: black Ceylon tea, violet leaves Base notes: birch, papyrus Spray the eau de parfum from a distance of 10–15 cm onto the body’s warm pulse points: behind the knees, abdominal area, wrists, inner elbows, solar plexus, behind the ears, the base of the neck (back side), and the nape. One spray per point is usually sufficient. Avoid rubbing the fragrance into the skin, as this can interfere with the natural unfolding of the composition. For enhanced longevity, apply to well-moisturized skin, ideally in combination with a body cream, lotion, or oil.
