Bal dAfrique is one of my earliest fragrances. When I created it, I was obsessed with putting memories in a bottle. At the same time, I felt confident enough to add a fantasy component to the fragrance. My father lived and traveled in Africa for 10-15 years. It was interesting for me to read his diaries – how he traveled on cargo ships, how he met various interesting people... Bal dAfrique is a fantasy trip to Africa, as well as my vision of African culture. A love message full of beauty and charm from Byredo founder Ben Gorham to the whole continent. The fragrance of Bal dAfrique is like a jazz improvisation, in which passionate and intoxicating shades sound. The piercing freshness of exotic flowers and tropical forests, the chords of sparkling wines and ripe fruits are fragrant sketches of Africa. Top notes: African marigolds, bergamot, buchu Heart notes: cyclamen, violet Base notes: Moroccan cedar, vetiver A luxurious hand balm based on the most nutritionally rich oils is an ideal remedy that preserves and prolongs the youthfulness of the skin of your hands.
