The composition of Synthetic Nature reflects the desire to idealize nature through a contemporary lens. Frédéric Malle believes that using 100% natural ingredients risks creating a cacophony, whereas the addition of synthetic elements allows for a fragrance that precisely conveys the story behind each creation. This is why a synthetic note reminiscent of hyacinth was added to the green accord, achieving a perfect fusion with floral notes of lily of the valley, jasmine, and ylang-ylang. Oak moss and patchouli serve as the foundation, while a bold basil note amplifies the sense of modernity.
