Jimmy Choo and Conner Ives are back together, this time with a capsule that puts a wild spin on house classics. What started as a creative exchange for Ives’s Spring/Summer 2024 show has grown into a steady dialogue with Sandra Choi, Jimmy Choo’s creative director. For Autumn/Winter 2025, the collaboration takes the runway mules and boots seen in February and reintroduces them with a fierce new character.
At the center of the edit are two styles named for Gloria Guinness, one of Truman Capote’s fabled Swans. The Gloria Knee Boot 85 revives Jimmy Choo’s 1997 Agathe boot, now in zebra or cheetah-print pony leather with a squared-off pointed toe and stiletto heel. Its counterpart, the Gloria Mule 85, carries the same print treatments, finished with slim leather straps across the upper. Both sit on an 85mm heel that sharpens their sculptural line.
Choi speaks of the collaboration as more than product. “Supporting and championing young designers is something I care deeply about,” she said, noting how fresh eyes bring new energy to the archive. Ives has found in Jimmy Choo a perfect partner for his vision, calling the Gloria capsule one of the projects he is most proud of. “I’ve always been obsessed with zebra print, and the cheetah felt like a natural counterpart,” he said. “As bold as they are, these prints balance out with something familiar in the silhouettes.”
The partnership between Ives and Jimmy Choo has already produced multiple collections, including The Archive: 1997–2001 capsule, co-curated with fashion historian Alexander Fury. With this latest drop, the conversation continues, showing how heritage and next-generation design can play off each other season after season.
