Francesca Burns is a London-based stylist, creative consultant, publisher, and cultural voice whose work spans editorial projects, brand campaigns, and creative direction. Originally trained in law, she later studied fashion promotion at London College of Fashion before beginning her career assisting on Kylie Minogue’s “Fever” tour with stylist William Baker. She went on to assist Joe McKenna and Jonathan Kaye, experiences that informed her precise yet intuitive approach to image-making.

Burns joined the editorial world as fashion editor at i-D, later becoming senior fashion editor at LOVE and, in 2011, fashion editor at British Vogue. Her work has also appeared in Vogue Italia, WSJ, W, Double, Self Service, and The Gentlewoman.

In 2016, Burns partnered with creative director Christopher Simmonds to launch PRINT, an independent publication known for its experimental approach to fashion imagery. The fifth issue, released in 2024, became Idea Books’ fastest-selling launch.

She has collaborated with Gucci, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Calvin Klein, Kenzo, and Nensi Dojaka, among others, on campaigns, shows, and creative strategy. Alongside her commercial work, Burns advocates for inclusivity, sustainability, and equitable access in the industry. She has co-hosted events with The Sustainable Angle, contributed to the Mentoring Matters program, and founded “Resale Therapy” to encourage circular fashion practices.

Today, Burns focuses on creative consultancy, working closely with brands on visual identity, storytelling, and styling, while continuing to contribute to selected editorial and cultural projects.
