Max Pearmain is a London-based fashion stylist and editor known for his work across leading publications and menswear projects. He studied fine art sculpture at the Slade School of Fine Art before moving into fashion. Early in his career, he served as men’s editor at both Pop Magazine and Arena Homme+, where he developed a reputation for clean, concept-driven styling and directional storytelling.

His editorial work has appeared in British Vogue, The Gentlewoman, and W Magazine, often marked by a focus on proportion, material, and attitude rather than overt statements. In 2016, Pearmain co-founded the menswear label Symonds Pearmain with designer Anthony Symonds. Their first project, titled “Retail Baroque,” introduced an offbeat approach to British tailoring, later followed by a runway debut during London Fashion Week as part of Fashion East’s Autumn/Winter 2018 showcase.

Alongside his editorial and design work, Pearmain has styled campaigns for Chloé, Supreme, Calvin Klein, Acne Studios, Topman, and Joseph, and has collaborated with Burberry on select runway collections. He continues to divide his time between commercial styling, creative direction, and maintaining the identity of Symonds Pearmain, a label known for its thoughtful examination of menswear codes and studio-based experimentation. He is represented by Rep Limited in London.
