Vaquera’s first perfume arrives with Comme des Garçons and a story about memory and rediscovery. Its debut fragrance, Classique Perdu, is built around the idea of a scent that feels familiar yet forgotten.

The composition references the chemical sweetness of a childhood car’s air conditioning, the airy scent of freshly dried hair, and the metallic shimmer of a summer fountain. Together, they create a perfume that draws on nostalgia and rediscovery.

Perfumer Suzy Le Helley developed an aromatic and green structure that opens with lavandin, tomato leaf, a permanent marker accord, and blackcurrant. The middle notes move into clary sage, iris, and a solar rose, before settling into styrax resin, sandalwood, suede, and evernyl.

The bottle comes cushioned in packing peanuts, tucked inside a transparent box layered with clearance stickers. The presentation embraces imperfection and echoes the idea of a rediscovered classic.

“Classique Perdu” translates to “lost classic.” The project was overseen by Christian Astuguevieille, creative director of Comme des Garçons Parfums, and Comme des Garçons International CEO Adrian Joffe confirmed the release.

Classique Perdu will be available starting September 30 at Comme des Garçons Paris, Dover Street Market Paris and London, and Dover Street Parfums Market. Wider distribution follows at the end of October, priced at $85 for 30ml.
