On September 10, Valentino Beauty reopens the original room for an invitation only night celebrating the new Rendez-Vous Ivory collection with beauty and fashion insiders, a few Studio 54 veterans, and friends of the House.
The evening anchors a new capsule: Born in Roma Donna Rendez-Vous Ivory and Born in Roma Uomo Rendez-Vous Ivory, bottled in ivory with gold touches, plus Spike Valentino Ivory lip color in warm pink toffee and terrazzo red and a rose gold shimmer topper. The lip shades are finished with the brand’s Roma Light Complex.
The fragrances break from the core lineup with clear, easy reads. Donna layers orange blossom and marshmallow over Madagascar bourbon vanilla and white musk. Uomo leans warm and woody with bergamot, lavandin and a fireplace accord.
A new campaign shot by Carlijn Jacobs and led by Born in Roma ambassador Adut Akech sets the tone, trading day-for-night gloss for a late-night pace worthy of the address.
Studio 54’s role here is not nostalgia for its own sake. The club’s mix of fashion, art and music gives the launch a clear New York context and a reason for the ivory dress code of the bottles.
