Sézane has partnered with New Balance on its first sneaker collaboration, taking on the 471 model and reworking it with a distinctly retro hand. The low-profile silhouette, marked by a wedge-shaped midsole, leans into a ’70s aesthetic while earthy tones of burnt orange, navy, and brown give it an easy seasonal appeal.

The color palette leans into autumn: deep navy, burnt orange, and warm brown. Raw stitching adds texture, giving the sneaker a slightly undone edge that contrasts the clean lines of the design. It’s the kind of shoe that slips easily into a wardrobe built around denim, tailoring, or the relaxed layers Sézane is known for.

For Sézane founder Morgane Sézalory, the project was about keeping things simple and wearable. “We wanted to design a sneaker that carries the effortless spirit of the Parisian wardrobe: refined, versatile and ready to follow from morning to late night,” she said in a statement.
The 471 collaboration is timed for fall. It will be available October 3 in the U.S., October 5 worldwide via Sézane, and October 16 through New Balance’s site.
