Tiffany Co. debuts Bird on a Rock across high and fine jewelry with Abby Champion fronting the campaign shot by Carlijn Jacobs.

Jean Schlumberger’s Bird on a Rock, created in 1965, has always been more than a brooch. This season, Tiffany Co. expands the icon into a full collection. Chief Artistic Officer Nathalie Verdeille guides the evolution with two distinct interpretations.
Figurative designs appear as platinum and 18k gold birds set with vivid gemstones, echoing Schlumberger’s fascination with posture and feather detail. The abstract interpretation reduces the motif to sculptural wings, silhouettes that suggest the layered curves of plumage and the movement of flight.

Two high jewelry suites extend the story through Tiffany’s gemstone heritage: one in tanzanite, first introduced by the house in 1968, and one in turquoise, long tied to both Tiffany and Schlumberger. The turquoise suite’s centerpiece is a necklace where a diamond bird clasps strands of cabochon turquoise that fall to a dramatic drop.
For the first time, Bird on a Rock enters fine jewelry. Figurative motifs translate the brooch into rings, pendants, and earrings, while the Wings line explores abstraction with near invisible diamond settings, stackable interlocking designs, and convertible earrings that shift from stud to drop.

To mark the debut, Tiffany Co. introduces a new campaign starring Abby Champion and house ambassador Zhang Ziyi. Photographer Carlijn Jacobs and stylist Katie Burnett set the pieces against a dreamlike backdrop of clouds and open skies. The styling is sharp, the mood graphic, with jewelry as the focal point.
The campaign unfolds in three film chapters. The first traces the house’s long fascination with avian motifs. The second imagines Schlumberger’s moment of inspiration when he encountered a rare bird. The third follows Bird on a Rock’s path from brooch to cultural emblem. Together, the imagery expands the mythology while situating the new designs firmly in the present.

Across both tiers, the message is optimism clothed in precision. Each piece feels built for movement, whether a perched bird on a ring or a wing that arcs along the ear. It is a clear through line from Schlumberger’s wit to Tiffany’s present tense.
Bird on a Rock by Tiffany is available beginning September 2 at select Tiffany Co. stores worldwide and across the brand’s print and digital channels.
