Summary

  • C+ introduces probiotic garments that interact with the skin’s microbiome, merging science with daily wear.
  • Tech Tailoring adds hidden adjusters and elastic fastenings that let clothes move naturally with the body.
  • Gemstone Swipe bags and mycelium leather continue Coperni’s focus on innovation and mindful design.

Clothing has always acted as protection and expression. Coperni’s Spring Summer 2026 collection completes that story with C+, a new line the brand calls “carewear.” Developed with scientists over several years, C+ is designed to work with the body’s natural microbiome.

Its first chapter, Regenerative Garments, includes a top, bodysuit, and leggings cut in four-way stretch technical jersey embedded with a patented pre- and probiotic formula. When activated by body heat and movement, these textiles release micro-organisms that help rebalance the skin’s microbiome, ease stress, and support repair.

On the runway, Helena Tejedor’s styling emphasized clarity and movement, with soft hair by Duffy for L’Oréal and natural makeup by Pat McGrath that kept focus on the skin itself. The presentation felt direct and unembellished, showing how innovation can live within the familiar.

There’s a looseness this season that feels deliberate. Lines are softer, fabrics breathe, and color broadens. Dresses adjust through elastic fastenings, shirts fall with natural drape, and wide-leg trousers open with zips to shift volume as needed. The clothes feel designed to move with you, not against you.

Coperni’s approach to tailoring bridges tradition and function through a program called Tech Tailoring. Hidden systems inside jackets and trousers allow sleeves and hems to lengthen or shorten for different bodies. Suspenders from the previous season reappear on trousers, introducing subtle shifts in proportion. Creative direction by Kevin Tekinel and Charles Levai keeps the innovation grounded in precision and ease.

Function turns adaptable in smaller details. Belts double as compact bags fitted with pockets for essentials like an iPhone or AirPods. Footwear, developed with Barreletics, introduces a Pilates shoe that balances comfort and grip, continuing Coperni’s ongoing conversation with anatomy and movement.

Accessories carry new meaning. The Swipe bag returns as gemstone amulets crafted in quartz, tiger eye, and tourmaline, symbolic objects made for connection and protection as much as for use. A collaboration with a South Korean developer introduces mycelium-based leather for jackets and bags, grown rather than extracted.

The team looked to historical anatomical studies and sculptural écorchés, translating muscular lines into fluid pleats and scorched plissé fabrics. The human body becomes the foundation for motion and texture, connecting science with a tactile sense of design.

If C+ cares for the skin, the rest of the collection explores what lies beneath. Coperni studies the body’s structure and interprets it into garments that move like muscle. The five-toe ballerinas anchor that dialogue, extending it into motion. What emerges is clothing that joins science with softness, turning innovation into something human.
