The Loewe Spring Summer 2026 pre-collection finds its core inspiration in the world of British artist Louis Wain. Active from 1860 to 1939, Wain became a cult figure, famous as ‘The Man Who Drew Cats.’ His work, initially naturalistic, later moved toward abstraction, influenced by Cubism and Futurism.
This later period, particularly the “Futurist Cats” series of porcelain vases, informs an animated capsule within the collection. Wain’s vision is applied to Loewe’s craft. Signature bags like the Puzzle, Flamenco clutch, and Amazona feature cat motifs created through intarsia, print, and trompe l’oeil knit. The Wain vases are translated directly into an architectural “Futurist Cat clutch.” Other pieces deconstruct the motifs (a face, paws, or stripes) across different Loewe forms.

The collection also introduces new items. The Joya pouch is presented as a day-to-night piece with a gusseted interior, adjustable strap, and a customizable dice bar. A new Draped Tote joins the lineup, alongside the Hammock Flip and Puzzle Panta.
Leather remains a central part of the ready-to-wear. A cropped jacket in nappa lambskin, detailed with an integrated belt and patch pockets, reinterprets workwear. The biker jacket is updated with a voluminous balloon silhouette. Knitwear is also present, showing intricate patterns and handworked details.
Shoes continue the collection’s codes. The Toy pump features glossy materials and a heel charm shaped like a Futuristic Cat. Sculptural options include the Bobine bootie and the Petal Anagram sandals.

The men’s items create a conversation with the women’s offering. The men’s collection includes the Puzzle bag, the new Loop Bucket, and the Loop Hobo. Footwear, like the Bobine and Bobby Handle boots, is introduced for men as well.
Photographed by Carlijn Jacobs, the campaign imagery uses stark, painterly light against material backgrounds. The images magnify texture and design (intarsia, embroidery, polish). The focus is described as addressing product rather than personality, with a blunt humor and joyful energy. The holiday collection will coincide with the latest issue of Loewe’s quarterly magazine, arriving in stores from November 13.
