Launched in 2019, Gucci Changemakers is a global program designed to support industry change and build stronger connections through community action. It reflects the house’s long-term commitment to creating lasting social impact both within fashion and far beyond it. In North America, the initiative moves on three coordinated tracks: the Impact Fund, a Scholarship Program and an invite-only Creative Fellows grant. Together, they support students, nonprofits and young creatives whose work sits at the intersection of culture, equity and community.

The Scholarship Program offers up to $25,000 to undergraduate students with bold ideas, along with one-on-one mentorship from Gucci insiders. This year’s recipients include ten students from across the U.S., from schools such as Houston Community College, Parsons, FIT and Drexel. The support gives each scholar the space to develop their creative practice and build toward a future in the industry.

The Impact Fund focuses on nonprofits that make creativity tangible at street level. Six groups share this year’s grants: Urban Harvest in Houston converts vacant lots into teaching gardens, Inner-City Arts in Los Angeles keeps after-school studios buzzing, Breakthrough Miami pairs teenagers with college mentors, while Hopebound in Atlanta, Positively Arts in Las Vegas and ArtsConnection in New York strengthen youth wellbeing through art and performance.

Creative Fellows funding returns to past scholars ready to scale personal projects. Filmmaker Anya Dillard is finishing Atelier, a documentary tracing the rise of Newark-based BrownMill Co., and designer Gideon Gomm is building a twenty-two-look collection titled Development II: Heonsin, a study in Korean craft and commitment.

Anyone hoping to join the next class should keep an eye out for the application window, which opens at the start of each year and runs through late winter. Visit equilibrium.gucci.com for the most up-to-date information on deadlines, eligibility and program details.
