Murakami’s flower slides land at The Corner Shop today. Limited run to August 24. Expect color, lines, and plenty of photos.

If you have ever met one of Takashi Murakami’s grinning flowers on a museum wall or a Louis Vuitton bag, you will recognize it at your feet. The artist’s footwear label, Ohana Hatake, has arrived at The Corner Shop in Selfridges with a summer pop-up that opens today in London.
Ohana Hatake means “field of flowers,” and that is the point. The core style is a big, cushy EVA slide stamped with the classic smiley bloom. Murakami has long made merch and collaborations, but this is his first full fashion label under his own name.

The project first surfaced at ComplexCon Las Vegas in November 2024, then touched down in Hong Kong with a second ComplexCon outing. There, a faux garden set the scene for the shoes. London gets the same spirit. Think saturated color, oversized graphics, and a backdrop built for your camera roll.
Alongside the signature Ohana Full-Bloom slide, there is a simpler slip-on inspired by the Japanese house slipper. It is pared back, with an embossed motif and a sole dotted with petals.

The Corner Shop is the right stage. The space has hosted Loewe, Celine, and Jacquemus, and it suits Murakami’s pop brightness. If you want in, move fast. The pop-up runs from today, August 4, through August 24.
